This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will join in development of one of our space vehicles as a member of the Lunar Transportations Finance team. We are looking for someone with a passion for the pursuit of safe and repeatable spaceflight as you work daily with key partners within the program and finance teams. You'll drive analysis, improvement in execution, and reporting to contribute towards financial and programmatic decisions that directly impact the history of space exploration!

Position is on site in Renton, WA or Littleton, CO - relocation provided if needed!

Responsibilities:

  • Help build and continuously improve financial models on industry specific operating metrics including scenario and sensitivity analysis based on different factors

  • Perform analysis and reporting to ensure costs are within agreed upon budgets

  • Prepare project budgets and provide analysis

  • Recommend and implement operational improvement measures and identify key financial as well as non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks

  • Lead cost reduction efforts

  • Lead annual and multi-year financial planning activities

  • Creation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial and operations reviews

  • Support termination liability analysis. Including cost/price analysis for supplier proposals

  • Lead cost accounting frameworks and processes

  • Lead program-level financial risk and opportunity management process

  • Drive change analysis

  • Quantitative and statistical analysis methods of cost

  • Build financial visibility tools

  • Performs risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions. Work with program teams to develop recovery plans

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or analytical field

  • 8+ years of post grad financial analysis experience with a focus on financial analysis, to include preparing budgets and providing analysis such as time-phased non-labor expenditure, termination liability analysis, audits and conducting analysis/reporting to ensure projects are within negotiated and agreed upon budgets

  • Experience with data mining across diverse data sets

  • Intermediate Excel proficiency

  • Deliver result through ambiguous situations

  • Experience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver results

  • Experience supporting financial decision process through IRR, NPV, and other financial metrics

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills to executive management

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading project teams

  • MBA, or Master's Degree in Finance

  • Experience with SQL and Tableau

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology organizations

Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $115,145.63-$161,203.88;WA applicants is $125,227.50-$175,318.50
