Georgia-Pacific Dixie Consumer Products Operation is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Structural/Civil Engineer role supporting the Consumer Manufacturing Group located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee facility uses integrated technology to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkin products in a progressive production environment.

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Civil Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring that they adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, and standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

What You Will Do

* Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture
* Develop detailed structural designs for new construction projects
* Perform analysis of structural systems for both static and dynamic loads
* Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes and standards
* Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Prepare project timelines, budgets, and reports
* Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and schedules
* Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
* Identify and resolve structural issues during the construction process
* Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and environmental standards
* Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
* Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide engineering standards and procedures
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Experience in civil or structural engineering
* Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000)
* Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively

What Will Put You Ahead

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Experience with industrial facility design and construction
* Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices
* Experience in project management and team leadership
