Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for overseeing the development of business requirements for system related enhancements, lead the operations user acceptance testing of system related enhancements and provide operational support, including change management and training associated with those enhancements. This role includes coordination of efforts with the information technology and operations testing team, ensuring that all testing activities are conducted efficiently, and that systems are operational and enhanced according to the highest standards. This role will also aid in change management, development/maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with system impacts and work closely with the training organization during rollout efforts.

What you will do...

  • Operations SME for all Project Evolution (ERP, POS upgrade) related testing; this role will work closely with the Software Testing Manager to establish and support testing processes and methodology.
  • Own the development of business requirements and become the liaison with Herc IT/project teams on functional and technical requirements.
  • Participate in development of technical requirements with IT team (act as business SME) related to business requirements for said projects.
  • Utilizing established testing processes and methodology, lead the planning, design, execution, and reporting of tests for system enhancements, including boundary applications, to ensure application meets quality standards.
  • Conduct data validation before the start of the test execution phase.
  • Manage raised defects to complete their life cycle and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams, project managers, and business analysts to align testing with project goals.
  • Define priorities for support issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with various internal teams to help them succeed when using the test platform, TestRail.
  • Coordinate change management efforts with operations PMO; aid in maintenance of SOPs and work with training team on support required for rollout.
  • Manage dependency work (data driven) related to projects that impact operations.
  • Maintain operations data to ensure continued success of project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree inBusiness/Finance/Economics/Accountingor technology
  • 5+ years of experience working in an analyst or supervisor role.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP and RentalMan is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant testing certifications are a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in test operations, including environment setup, test execution, and defect management.
  • Experience with high-pressure system design and handling and JIRA and TestRail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
