Production Planner I

The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials according to production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

What You'll Do



  • Review MRP reports and Lean (Kanban) signals to replenish fabricated components for all subassembly and final assembly cells
  • Respond to our dynamic, make-to-order business model, and to maximize customer service, review stocking levels on all stocked, fabricated components to maximize inventory turns while ensuring reliable material availability
  • Effectively manage throughput through our internal fabrication departments by establishing and maintaining accurate replenishment dates in our ERP system
  • Facilitate the implementation of all Engineering Change Notices through manufacturing channels
  • Manage Item Masters for new and existing fabricated parts
  • Support master scheduling of finished cases on designated product lines. Integrate sales orders with master schedule; evaluate availability of materials, personnel, and equipment; coordinate with Production to maintain high On Time Delivery.
  • Purchase raw materials as required. May collaborate with outside supply vendors; ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
  • Other duties as assigned


What You'll Bring



  • Minimum two (2) years related work experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be versatile and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP, ERP systems, Excel and database programs


What We Value



  • Bachelors of Business Administration preferred
  • Supply Chain emphasis and/or certifications (ASCM/APICS) preferred


Working Conditions The Production Planner primarily works in an office environment, however, may occasionally be required to perform duties in a manufacturing and/or warehouse setting. Proper safety training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
