Environmental Deputy Project Manager

EnSafe is accepting applications for an Environmental Deputy Project Manager to join our team in Jacksonville, FL Successful candidates will have 5-10 years of experience in the environmental consulting field.

What We Are Looking for:

A Deputy Project Manager, who is driven to contribute to a wide range of projects ranging from site investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial design and implementation for both common and emerging (i.e., PFAS) contaminants. EnSafe is a sell/manage/do organization, so your duties will also include supporting marketing/business development efforts and serving in a managing role over support staff.

What you will be doing:

• Lead technical teams working with our Jacksonville team and across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors.
• Develop Work Plans and/or Sampling and Analysis Plans and coordinate investigation activities (soil, groundwater, indoor air, soil gas, and stormwater sampling).
• Conducting and managing site investigation activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials)
• Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
• Provide oversight to teams during field activities and regulatory reporting.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the quality assurance/quality control of deliverables about projects and tasks self-managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
• Work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil, Chemical, Geology, Biology, or related Environmental degree.
• EIT, GIT, P.E. or P.G. Certification is a plus.
• 5-10 Years of relevant experience in the field of environmental assessment/remediation.
• HAZWOPER training and certification.
• Knowledge or experience in RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, LTM) and documentation preferred.
• Experience with federal projects and/or working with DoD/Navy projects.
• Understanding of federal facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft program products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to travel to support ongoing environmental projects.
• Focus on responsiveness, quality of product, and service to maintain EnSafe client relationships.
