Dewberry is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 to join our New York City office.

Responsibilities

    The intern will assist in the preparation of electrical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications to meet project requirements for electrical and power systems, fire alarm systems and for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities.
  • This position performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Previous internship experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT required.
  • Familiarity with various Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.

Salary Range

*The hourly range for this position is $17.20-$28.20.



Program Information

Summer Intern Program

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.

Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including:

  • Networking opportunities to meet other interns, staff, and senior leaders across the business.
  • Learning about our services, projects, and clients.
  • Professional development workshops, including a career planning workshop and a DiSC assessment to learn more about themselves and how to work effectively with others.
  • Summer-long group project where interns work alongside firm leaders to address issues that will impact our future strategy.
