Location: Hybrid office schedule in Tampa + travel to clients occationally; more info listed below Salary: $80,000-90,000 Overview: The Staff Associate's primary duties will include assisting with and performing cybersecurity and compliance assessment and advisory services. Key Characteristics/Requirements: Public Accounting Audit experience required with IT Audit focus. Must have several years of external audit experience in a full-time, functional role. We are not considering candidates with only internal audit backgrounds. Candidates must have been full-time employees, not contractors, at a Big 4 or Top 50 firm. Responsibilities: Support managers in audit engagements. Independently lead walkthroughs and perform testing of controls, including ITGCs, Automated Controls, Business Process Controls, and Key Reports. Identify issues in control design/operation and escalate them appropriately to the Manager+ on the engagement. Coach and mentor less experienced staff. Assist in the scoping, planning, execution, and conclusion of projects related to our service offerings (SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27000, GLBA, and various other IT Audit, IT Risk Assessments, and Information Security Assessments) Work on multiple projects in varying stages through completion and issuance of final deliverables Develop and maintain strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients Ability to travel 25 - 50% - willingness to travel a significant number of weeks during the year, as needed. The current travel % is low but may pick back up in the future. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required (Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred) 2+ of cybersecurity, public accounting, or IT auditing experience whether in an internship capacity or other relevant experience Willingness to pursue relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, HITRUST CCSFP, ISO Lead Auditor, PCI QSA, etc.) KPIs: Achievement of a minimum of 925 billable hours during each 6-month period following introductory period Submits time sheets on a timely basis with no more than one late in each evaluation period Actively pursuing professional certifications Attends and participates in the Annual Training Event Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
