Perks of Working at Ignite Digital Services: Competitive pay and benefits, including PTO Education stipends and referral bonuses Compelling work with the U.S. federal government Strong emphasis on volunteer and community engagement Opportunity to shape the future of our industry Supportive colleagues and management who invest in your growth Responsibilities: Utilize mathematical modeling and operations research techniques to develop and enhance scheduling algorithms and systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify critical scheduling challenges within DOD operations Design, implement, andtestscheduling solutions usingPython, with a focus on integrating Django frameworks where applicable Analyze data and operational workflows to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements Conduct simulations and performance analyses to validate the effectiveness of scheduling solutions Communicate complex mathematical concepts and technical findings to stakeholders, including military personnel and command staff Stay current with advancements in operations research methodologies and relevant technologies to ensure best practices are applied. Qualifications: Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations research, with a focus on scheduling or optimization Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Pyomo package Experience working in Python Django preferred Previous experience working within the Department of Defense or with military operations is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities Ability to obtain Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with NAVAL Air's Master Aviation Plan * Experience within the NAVAL Air environment Hybrid: 2-3 days a week onsite in Charleston, SC Salary: 125,000+ to align with education and experience Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
