For more information, visit nyit.edu. Responsibilities New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine Academic Health Care Center is seeking a full-time Office Assistant. We are seeking a highly organized and personable Office Assistant to join our clinic. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while handling administrative tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus. Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with electronic health record systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Maintain an approachable demeanor with a focus on patient care. Must be able to interact with patients, insurers and team members in a responsible, professional and ethical manner. At least two years of preferred Medical Office experience and an understanding of Medical Terminology. Preferred Medical Assistant Training and/or certification. New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. Minimum Salary USD $35,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary USD $38,000.00/Yr. |
