The Admin Clinical Research Program Manager will provide programmatic management for the development of assigned programs in radiology and its clinical and translational research operations. You will provide leadership to the organization to develop the radiology research programmatic infrastructure, operational workflows and approval process, direct institutional use of the Research Imaging Services Core, and Department of Diagnostic Radiology Specific study financial administration.

This position has a high level of autonomy, collaborates with contributors across the organization (research, administrative, medical, and support personnel), and is a key position in the Program. You will be required to have excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation and creativity and serve as a primary point of contact/information for the Program and outside constituents.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Provide leadership in radiology to develop the research programmatic structure, operational workflows, imaging research review, and approval processes. Includes management of research website; development, implementation, and maintenance of SOPs; policies to ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines and standards related to research; IT build and research billing structure.
  • Manage clinical research operations by facilitating operational and administrative tasks and acting as program liaison with central offices, clinical faculty, and study teams across the organization to conduct radiology-related protocol analysis.
  • Assist faculty with protocol development, assist with grant writing and preparation, partner with OSA with grant submission, study budget preparation, and study coordination (when needed) along with scholarly activities i.e., publications, conference presentations, book chapters, abstracts, etc.
  • Fiscal responsibility to ensure that radiology costs, effort allocation, revenue, and expenses are aligned with growth initiatives to enhance the Radiology research portfolio. In partnership with the Chair, Department Administrator, research leaders, and AMF team to monitor program financial performance, provide recommendations, and implement action plans as needed.
  • Personnel Management: recruitment, hiring, orientation, education, and onboarding of research support staff. Participate in counseling or performance improvement and training of Admin Support to ensure policy and regulatory compliance. Complete annual performance evaluations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience can be substituted.

* 5+ years progressively responsible for business management, project and program management within an academic or research environment including experience in budget development and management. 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree or PhD

* 8+ years clinical research administration experience including managing pre-award process of grant and protocol proposals for multiple projects in the solid tumor area. Knowledge about federal grant application, processing and management.

* Experience with statistical software knowledge preferred

* Experience working with Excel and reporting systems like Tableau etc.
