POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The General Clerk III will act as the project coordinator and customer support request recipient.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):



  • Prepare communications such as arranging meetings and appointments while maintaining office calendars
  • Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production using computerized devices and software
  • Designs and maintain various electronic filing systems
  • Prepares written work schedules and project calendars based on established guidelines and priorities
  • Prepares monthly progress reports of tasks in process/completed
  • Coordinates with the Project Manager scheduling data, status-to-date, and process controls
  • Act as the communications center and dispatch for work order trades and professional staff via phone and email
  • Create, maintains files of documents and reports used and prepared
  • Track the purchase and usage of hazardous materials and chemical in LaRC's Chemical Material Tracking System (CMTS)
  • Places orders for gasoline and diesel deliveries
  • Perform trainings as required
  • Assist with various access requests
  • Assist with various tracking systems and permits
  • Assist with research of pricings for different work orders
  • Ability to use basic office equipment (computer, phone, printer/scanner)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Excellent written, listening and oral communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be a US Citizen
