Job Summary:
|
The Business Services Professional provide operational management support to the Department of Radiology. This position requires a working knowledge of all current University policies that are relevant to business services which may include, but not be limited to procurement, human resources, budget, events, and travel. This position supports the daily business needs of the department and faculty. Tasks assigned to this position require critical thinking and the ability to independently resolve noted discrepancies. This position will work with section chiefs on clinical scheduling in Qgenda. This task requires organization, focus, analytical, and technical skills. The position is responsible for maintaining accuracy in Qgenda reporting. This position will provide support for faculty promotions and tenure. This requires keeping the timeline of midcourse review and promotion procedures moving forward. Supervision Received: This position reports to the Administrator for HR & Finance in Radiology. Supervision Exercised: No formal supervision responsibilities. Examples of Work Performed: Business Service Professional (intermediate) General Operational Management (50%):
- Maintain appropriate stock of general office supplies, calendars, and other incidentals. Place orders using appropriate purchasing procedures, adhering to purchasing guidelines and requirements, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Manage calendars for section chiefs, vice chairs, including scheduling meetings and assisting in day-to-day workflow.
- Coordinate events for the department, faculty, office staff, submit expenses for reimbursement, and adhere to financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with Qgenda scheduling and reporting for assigned sections working closely with section chiefs.
- Monitor AMION schedules to maintain consistency between Qgenda and AMION schedules for clinical services.
- Assist in resolving faculty concerns regarding data entry in Qgenda and AMION schedules.
- Respond to in-person, written, and telephone requests from faculty, colleagues and other university personnel.
- Assist in managing all aspects of day-to-day operations of the department by fostering effective service delivery, scheduling meetings/space, coordinating catering as needed, helping plan office events, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Additional related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Financial Processes (40%):
- Process travel and personal reimbursements for faculty and guests.
- Act as the Marketplace Requester; process procurement requests including CU Marketplace Purchase Orders (POs), Standing Purchase Orders (SPOs), Payment Vouchers.
- Maintain current knowledge of financial processes and guidelines; attend training as needed or required.
- Assist faculty by tracking academic enrichment accounts.
- Interpret and follow current University rules and guidelines relating to procurement, travel, and expense reimbursements; Assist faculty and guests with expense reports (Procurement and Travel) as needed.
- Confirm appropriate funds for allocation of expenses comply with all relevant University regulations and policies.
- Support department in other financial duties including cash handling, deposits, billing, accounts payable, and account management.
- Responsible for promotion and tenure committee and faculty support which includes scheduling and/or attending meetings, sending out reminders to faculty involved in the review or promotion process, coordinating workshops.
HR Operations (5%):
- Utilizing Qgenda, this position is responsible for accurate tracking and reporting of monthly employee leave data and records for the payroll liaison.
Customer Service (5%):
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty and staff in the department, academic and non-academic section chiefs, and the campus community.
Business Services Senior Professional in addition to above responsibilities: General Operational Management:
- Effectively handle sensitive and confidential personnel and financial issues on behalf of leadership with tact, discretion, and professionalism.
- Collaborating with the staff and others within the office to identify opportunities to improve processes and implement plans to follow through.
- Answer straightforward questions where possible and provide information about the University and Department policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Intermediate:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, communications, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, human resources, liberal arts, organizational development, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- One year of professional experience in an academic, health care business environment.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Senior:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, communications, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, human resources, liberal arts, organizational development, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Two years of professional experience in an academic, health care business environment.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical scheduling and reporting in Qgenda
- Experience in AMION scheduling
- Experience working with MS Word, Excel, Teams, etc
- Experience entering data into an electronic system other than MS Office products.
- Experience with University and CU Medicine's business applications, including Marketplace, Concur, COR360, and other University systems

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as Business Services Intermediate Professional $55,975-$71,201 Business Services Senior Professional $60,514- $76,974 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
