YOUR DAY TO DAY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Financial Analyst with Tax and Accounting expertise to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. In this pivotal role, you will manage and analyze property and multi-state sales tax filings, oversee depreciation calculations, support the preparation of annual business plans and monthly forecasts, and assist with audit activities. Your expertise will ensure our financial operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations, while contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:



  • Prepares annual property tax listings and analyzes appraised value reports and invoices for reasonableness
  • Prepare periodic multi-state Sales Tax Returns
  • Review vendor and customer state Sales Tax Certifications
  • Prepares and files Secretary of State annual reports and other miscellaneous tax returns, including census reports at the federal and state level
  • Responsible for tracking and capitalizing Authorization for Expenditures request to ensure accurate depreciation of capital assets
  • Calculate the monthly book depreciation
  • Prepare depreciation forecast as requested
  • Calculate the annual tax depreciation for Federal, State, and local jurisdictions
  • Performs month end closing tasks
  • Assists with preparing the five-year annual business plan and the monthly forecasts
  • Prepare data for tax department
  • Assist with all audit activity for external auditors
  • Interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Complex problem-solving including issue identification and solution(s) proposals



YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 6 years of directly related experience
  • CPA is desired
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)
  • Experience with basic Financial Analysis techniques
  • Knowledge and experience with JD Edwards, Sag Fixed Assets, and OneStream XF
  • Knowledge of book and tax depreciation methods
  • Experience with Sales and Use Tax Return filings
  • Strong analytical, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Expert MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicant must be a US citizen.
