Summary/Objective

The Quality Finish Process Auditor's responsibility is to inspect components/assemblies to ensure accuracy and completeness of products.

Essential Functions

  1. Document process issues (defects, non-conformances, etc.) in the relevant quality management system.
  2. Perform required frequency of audit checks.
  3. Relay audit defect info to area leaders.
  4. Engage in a positive manner with team members from all disciplines to ensure common goals are being met (production, material handling, lean manufacturing, safety, maintenance, shipping/receiving, etc.)
  5. Be prepared to work overtime hours as necessary, including Saturdays, in order to complete production schedules in a timely manner.
  6. Provide adequate care and maintenance of all equipment and resources used, including performing required calibrations and preventive maintenance where necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to walk large distances (in all local weather conditions) to retrieve/return components is a must.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school degree required, college degree is a definite asset.
  2. Basic computer and math skills
  3. Effective verbal and written communication.
  4. Must be able to work closely with others to solve problems and follow-through on solutions.
  5. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  6. Must be able to read, interpret and follow basic instructions and prints.
  7. Be able to operate and understand measurement tools (tape measures, micrometers, gauges, calipers, levels, etc.).

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Proven quality assurance and auditing experience in a similar industry preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
