Location: NCEC Scheduled days/hours: M,T,W,Th 8:30-4, Th & F 8:30-12:00 pm. Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and Highly Qualified status. Highly Qualified status can be achieved by completing One of the following: (1) Two-year Associate of Arts degree; OR (2) The equivalent of 60-semester credits OR (3) A passing score on the MN Para Pro Test (The district can provide supported resources for completing the assessment) Pay Rate/Range: $16.66/hr. - $18.05/hr. (2023-2024 agreement) Deadline: Open Until Filled -- EOE (10/24/2024) Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check and a required pre-work screening. Responsibilities: Will work under the direction of a licensed teacher to provide supervision of and support for students with special needs as indicated in Individual Education Plans. Services are provided both in general education and special education settings. Experience working with young children, diverse learners, and bilingual applicants is preferred. ***Educational Assistants regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to receive district insurance benefits.*** ***This position may also include an annual offer for summer employment.
