We are currently looking for a sales operations manager to be a vital cog that enables us to execute the sales function smartly and efficiently as we expand our market share in the US Department of Defense and US Federal Government as well as International Government markets.

The ideal candidate will have proven sales operations experience that includes managing inside sales personnel, providing best-in-class customer service, overseeing production operations scheduling and prioritization, and a proven ability to manage the coordination activities with sales supporting organizations to include business unit management, production, Contracts, legal, People and Culture (HR), and marketing.

The Sales Operations Manager will be adept at working with the entire business development and sales team in analyzing current market conditions, forecasting future market characteristics, and developing sales operations plans to grow smartly and efficiently. The Sales Operations Manager will be a data-driven, forward thinking, creative, proactive, demanding and curious key member of our sales team tasked with developing and overseeing the execution of BD and Sales operations internal and external activities. This level of foresight and meticulous, data-driven execution is what will bring our company to the next level.


The day-to-day

  • Support the Sales Account Executives by understanding their current focus and unmet needs and developing and executing actions, such as metrics and dashboards to meet those needs
  • Work within the sales, business development, marketing, and management teams as well as other internal teams to develop and execute strategic and, in some cases, tactical plans to enable the organization to maximize efficiencies within sales operations providing us to grow in a sustainable manner both in terms of new product introductions and market share growth
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our existing products and service offerings to maximize
  • Stay current with best industry practices and sales supporting tools
  • Be data-driven at all times in analyzing current processes and ways to achieve efficiencies

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage the Inside Sales team to generate quotes for all inside sales inquiries and account executive opportunities
  • Manage the research and creation of new tools as needed to enhance the efficiencies of the sales process
  • Maintain and develop, where required, specific internal sales tools such as dashboards, SOPs, warranty status and shipment lookup
  • Manage the execution of sales initiatives
  • Work with production operations to manage/coordinate the prioritization of deliveries to meet operational requirements
  • Manage and follow-up/assign for action external customer inquiries
  • Manage sales team asset tracking, restoration, and results (loaners, mock-ups, demo units) to include execution of NDA's and bailment agreements as needed.
  • Support the creation of reports/presentations of sales and opportunity data for monthly reviews and as needed to meet on-going business needs
  • Find and fix sales process weaknesses
  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve sales operations
  • Compile and analyze data to identify trends and enable real-time sharing of this data through dashboards
  • Price List sustainment and uploading into CRM
  • Reconcile quarterly awards

What you'll need

  • This position is a US Government sales position. US Citizenship required
  • 10 years professional experience working in sales operations, sales or customer service role
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent business-related experience
  • Proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in creating complex multi-source Dashboards
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal (presentations/briefings) communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solver with an aptitude and appetite for analytics, but can go beyond the numbers to articulate insights and operationalize them
  • Location is flexible

What will help you on the job

  • Proficiency with Salesforce to include Administrator experience
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in business (MBA) or related discipline
  • Professional certification(s) in related field

Salary range

$135,300.00 - $206,600.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $168,100.00- $243,700.00/ annually
