You will support Bloomberg Law's content and production teams by programmatically analyzing a variety of data sources and producing meaningful usage reports to guide our content strategy. You will be responsible for data gathering, report development, QA, and analysis of a broad set of regularly scheduled reports as well as various ad hoc reports and analyses.

A successful candidate should excel at extracting and identifying relevant, meaningful, and actionable information from structured and unstructured data in real-time. They should provide user-friendly ways of accessing this data via interactive dashboards and reports. The right candidate will bring new ideas, evangelizing them, and shepherding their adoption within the team.

What you will do:

  • Partner with content teams to assist with data, reporting, and analytics initiatives in support of roadmap development and other business initiatives.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, with focus on usage.
  • Provide ongoing reports and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests as needed.
  • Review analytics associated with topical tagging trends and performance.
  • Create processes that ensure users get consistent, accurate results from the data they rely on.
  • Identify automation opportunities to increase efficiency within team processes and reports.

Need to have:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Information Systems, Statistics or a related degree
  • Experience working with large data sets and managing data projects.
  • Experience with managing diverse data sources, including preprocessing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data.
  • Experience with Tableau, Amplitude, or Power BI
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate unstructured and semi-structured data (text, PDF, JSON and XML files).
  • Experience using Excel or VBA for data analysis.
