As the Business Operations Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Center for Immunology. The Center for Immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin is a multidisciplinary research center that aims to advance and promote collaborative and innovative connections between researchers and clinicians performing cutting-edge immunology research, providing state-of-the-art patient care, and training the next generation of immunologists. This position blends high-level coordination with the unique opportunity to contribute to the scientific mission of the center. You'll oversee everything from day-to-day administrative functions to strategic planning and budgeting, working closely with researchers and scientists to support their work and ensure operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily administrative, operational, and financial functions of the Center for Immunology.
- Manage the center's budget and financial operations, including analyzing data, preparing reports, and overseeing fiscal planning.
- Assist with space and facilities planning, coordinating renovations, equipment management, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with department leadership on special projects that drive the center's scientific mission forward.
- Facilitate events such as research meetings and speaker sessions, including arranging travel, logistics, and space allocation.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including visiting scientists and speakers, to ensure smooth operations and successful collaborations.

Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required, applicants with a degree in a science-related field (e.g., biology, immunology, or similar) would be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations, project management, or a related role. Prior experience in a research or scientific environment is preferred.
- Skills: Familiarity with financial management systems, strong organizational and project management skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with both administrative staff and scientific professionals.
