Job Summary
The Development Associate of Gift Agreements and Namings is responsible for managing the workflow for agreements which document major gifts and naming commitments from generous donors to UT Dallas. The position collaborates with fundraisers, Senior Director of Gift Agreements and Namings, Development and Alumni Relations senior leadership, and the UT System to ensure agreements are drafted, reviewed, approved and signed. This role manages efficient and timely processes to ensure that gift commitments are documented in an accurate and timely manner to allow consistent and meaningful stewardship of donors. The position is an integral member of the Development and Alumni Relations team and reports to the Senior Director of Gift Agreements and Namings.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree; one year administration experience; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, training & experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and one to two years of experience in a role that required project management, strong attention to detail and/or a policies-and-procedures framework.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to prioritize among a variety of tasks and simultaneously monitor and maintain multiple projects.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work individually and as part of a team dedicated to responsive service.
  • Excellent collegial, collaborative, and customer-service oriented demeanor that reflects tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong skills in relationship building that can adapt to the unique needs of a set of individuals and teams.
  • Desire to understand the technical aspects of gift acceptance and agreement in order to ensure compliance with UT System policies, Internal Revenue Service code, and state and federal law.
  • Good judgment and discretion when dealing with highly confidential donor and prospect information.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge (preferred) or other fundraising CRM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for fundraising staff and faculty regarding requests related to gift agreements and namings.
  • Initiate and coordinate agreement/naming workflow to ensure prompt attention and follow through.
  • Document the progress of agreements, from initial requests to approval from The University of Texas System, Ut Dallas Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations to donor.
  • Understand and follow policies and procedures to problem-solve and accommodate any requested changes.
  • Manage the use of DocuSign to route, track, and sign gift agreements.
  • Route donor and gift information to the appropriate Development Services teams to ensure the gift is properly recorded and the donor is stewarded.
  • Update constituent info in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.

Remote Work Notice:
Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Employee must be located within the DFW area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice.
