As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Chassis Design Engineer to join our team that services the high-speed networking and data center market.

As a Chassis Design Engineer, this role will be contributing to the design and development of electrical chassis structures and mechanisms from concept to production. This design engineer will create models and drawings for sales, manufacturing, mechanical analysis, and production. This person will work cross functionally with a talent team of engineers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Electrical, Quality and software teams.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the design and development of chassis structures for electromechanical products and connectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, PCB designers, Sourcing, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
  • Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of product designs, utilizing tools such as Kinematic Studies, DFM, NUUD, and TA to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential design limitations and propose effective solutions.
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and optimize product performance.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of prototypes, analyzing test data and implementing design improvements as necessary.
  • Follow NPI and PDP process to development and implement new products per industry standards.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in mechanical design of mechanisms and structures
  • Experience with FEA
  • Tolerance analysis
  • Experience with material selection
  • Experience with CAD tools
  • Experience with Geometric dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Possess good knowledge in Manufacturing, Fabrication and Plastic, sheet metal and diecast components.
