Molex is seeking a highly experienced technical Senior Director to join our Optical Systems Business Unit (OSBU). This is a Senior Director level position, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. In this role the successful candidate will be part of a world-class engineering team and is expected to significantly contribute to the development of the next generation coherent and PAM4 optical transceivers. This role requires an experienced leader with a deep understanding of optical transceiver engineering and a track record of driving engineering excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Some travel is expected in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team with accountability to deliver new transceiver products per our strategic roadmap.
  • Develop an agile and quality focused engineering team.
  • Advance our company culture.
  • Develop and manage the R&D budget.
  • Provide updates for executive management, stakeholders and customers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the optoelectronics industry, with at least five years in a leadership role focused on transceiver development.
  • Deep knowledge of optical transceivers, manufacturing processes, and automation technologies. Proven experience with NPI processes and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse engineering team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
