Position Summary SCHEDULE: Sunday, 8am - 4pm & Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm Under general direction, the Porter is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of Columbia University apartment buildings and grounds area. Responsibilities Cleaning and maintenance of building and grounds complex: elevators, stairways, corridors, windows, floors, laundry rooms. Trimming trees and shrubs, and lawn maintenance. Sweeps and hoses sidewalks. Removes snow and spreads salt as needed. Heavy lifting may be required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma and/or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance a plus.
