Job Type: Support Staff - Union Bargaining Unit: Local 2110 Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 27 Salary Range: $46,066 - $59,133 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Columbia Dining Services is a dynamic, progressive department in an exciting, fun environment with a customer-focused culture. We have an immediate opening for a Cashier. The cashier performs routine work under immediate supervision that involves calculation, receipt and custody of cash and charge purchases. Responsibilities Set up cash register with sufficient change obtained from supervisor. Calculate the cost of items purchased by customer and enter on register (Cash or charge). Collect cash and make change. Collect cards for charge customers and scan on register. At the end of the shift, clear register and record the cash received and hand over cash to supervisor with bank. Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Some experience/minimum of 6 months related experience required.
