Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor/Manager, dispatches security personnel to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Process, and record emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Operates a computer dispatch system, and monitors alarms & access control systems for service & response. Visually monitor extensive CCTV system, and other duties assigned. Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Salary Range: $29.42 - $42.14 / hourly
Qualifications

Dispatch Post Certification, required (if candidate does not possess Post Certification, it must be attained within 12 months of employment) -
Minimum of 1 year working as a dispatcher that experience triaging emergency and non-emergency calls for service in a fast pace environment - Ability to communicate with supervisors, staff, patients, and visitors accurately, timely, and using appropriate methods e.g. phone, letters, memos, email, type 30 WPM etc.
- Ability to produce documents and paperwork following established policies and guidelines.
- Ability to work assigned shifts according to schedule, or other assigned shifts & duties.
- Coordinate and prioritize multiple requests for service received simultaneously ensuring all calls are properly dispatched and documented. Skill in interacting diplomatically with the public in a high volume, continuous public contact setting.
- Ability to see aspects of public relations in all facets of the job and the ability to understand the effects of actions on the entire organization.
- Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly, using correct English to communicate with public and department personnel in a concise and informative manner.
- Ability to prioritize and disseminate information quickly and accurately, and to act on such information.
- Skill in word processing using Windows based software including Excel spreadsheets/graphs required. Additionally, the ability to edit and update systems, files, and documents.
- Ability to identify and use resources to solve problems and provide more efficient service.
- Skill in operating two way radio equipment, and routine maintenance of same.
- Ability to effectively operate various forms of alarm, access control systems, and handle routine maintenance of same.
- General knowledge of basic medial and law enforcement terminology.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with security personnel, police officers, and Medical Center, RNPH, and Medical Plaza employees.
