Job Description

General - This position is a member of a team and works with others to fulfill the mission of the department in serving the campus community. All members of the team respond to phone calls and emails from customers, process support request tickets and work with walk-in customers to answer questions or redirect to the appropriate unit. The team manages opening and closing the office, processing of student requests in the university information system and provides support for projects. Communicate university policies and procedures in a professional, courteous manner to all constituents.

Primary functions include the following:

Registration - Assist students with adding and dropping courses during early and open registration on university systems. Process support tickets in the ticket management system to record early cancellation, late registration changes, withdrawals forms, etc. Process administrative drops and withdrawals. Manage registration and questions for Visiting Student enrollment, including the various cross-town and area agreements. Assist with compiling information needed for the annual audits.

Verifications - Inform all constituents of the various services provided by our partner, the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). These services include degree and enrollment verification, including good student discounts. Process and update the information system (myZou) for requests sent by NSC on behalf of a third-party. Research student information through various computing and records systems.

Diplomas - Assist with multiple processes related to outgoing diplomas every semester, as well as intermittent diploma reorders.

Transcripts - Respond to inquiries regarding outgoing Mizzou transcripts. Work in myZou and the National Student Clearinghouse to monitor order statuses and troubleshoot processing issues.

Process Transfer of Division Request and GPA Adjustment forms submitted by students.

Residency -Respond to telephone calls, walk-ins and email or other electronic inquiries regarding the University's residency policies. This position will assist with residency petition collection, review of petition materials and processing.

Revision of Records - Manage incoming student appeals to the Revision of Records committee, including the workflow in Qualtrics. Compile information for the faculty committee to review. After the committee decisions are made, assist with correspondence to students concerning the final decisions. Where appropriate, update the myZou system to correct the record as directed (backdated withdrawals, drops, enrollments, etc.)

FERPA - Answer various questions from students, parents, faculty and staff about the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Explain the privacy restrictions, third party releases and Additional Authorized Access.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $15-$17/hr
