The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience in systems engineering to the U.S. government and to numerous public and private agencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, and commercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology. From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization, astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, mission assurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis, SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges.

The Aerospace Mission Assurance Strategy Office (MASO) leads Aerospace in developing nimble mission assurance for application in rapid acquisitions, new technologies, and new acquisition constructs. The office focuses on enterprise-wide mission assurance approaches, Mission Assurance as a Service (MAaaS), and process improvements for mission assurance. In this role, you will be responsible for: advancing mission assurance practices, working across the corporation and the enterprise to cultivate collaboration and integration, managing and disseminating corporate wisdom, and bringing a broad technical perspective to hard enterprise systems engineering problems.

Work Model
This is a full-time position that enables a hybrid work schedule which requires at least 3 days per week in an office depending on customer needs and requirements.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify and develop mission assurance approaches that serve a highly dynamic future space industry
  • Build bridges across a large and diverse customer set to achieve enterprise integration and efficiency
  • Evolve corporate processes and instructions to address Aerospace customers' needs for speed, resilience, and innovation in a contested environment
  • Manage and improve the corporate knowledge base and develop more effective means of sharing information
  • Provide thought leadership to advance agile mission assurance and systems engineering initiatives
What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements (Project Engineer):

  • Bachelor's degree in math, science, or engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent relevant experience
  • 8 years of dynamically responsible relevant professional engineering / scientific experience including program office and systems engineering of space systems or similar systems
  • Familiarity with systems engineering, program management, and / or the ability to integrate multiple technical viewpoints into cohesive systems view
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences and ability to summarize complex information for executive level communication
  • Ability to work effectively with Aerospace peers, internal and external customers, senior staff, and in a team setting
  • Occasional travel required
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in math, science, or engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent relevant experience
  • 12 or more years of dynamically responsible relevant professional engineering / scientific experience including program office and systems engineering of space systems or similar systems
  • Experience in systems engineering, program management, and / or the ability to integrate multiple technical viewpoints into cohesive systems view
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences and ability to summarize complex information for executive level communication
  • Ability to work effectively with Aerospace peers, internal and external customers, senior staff, and in a team setting
  • Occasional travel required

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Advanced technical degree in engineering, science, or math
  • Hands-on experience building space systems hardware or software
  • Aerospace ETG and Program Office experience
  • Current and active SCI Top Secret clearance

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$117,300 - $226,900 Pay Basis: Annual
