Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is looking for a Director of Contracts who will manage a variety of U.S. Federal contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements. The optimum candidate will provide support to business units and project teams on contract management and policy compliance matters. Will manage contract activities for all DecisionPoint projects and vendors. This position requires at least 2 days minimum onsite at our Reston Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee and manage contract activities for all DecisionPoint opportunities, awarded projects (prime and sub), and vendors
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with government and partner contracting officers
- Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
- Identifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to the best solution
- Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met
- Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.
- Responsible for documentation and implementation of Contract Management processes
- Manages daily workload of assigned Contract Management personnel and project or business personnel assisting with the contract management function
- Acts as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and Legal Services, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly
- Acts as liaison between AFS and clients/vendors
- Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring compliance
- Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the entire organization
- Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of the organization's major business areas (System Integration and/or Outsourcing) in order to communicate effectively with project Senior Executives and provide relevant advice
- Provide Contract Management training to project and infrastructure personnel
- Manage all DecisionPoint GWAC and IDIQ contracts, suggest and execute any necessary modifications
- Oversee and manage the CPAR process to ensure all responses are submitted and accurately reflect the performance of the program
- Maintain the internal Contracts SharePoint site and ensure all contracts and agreements are filed correctly
- Manage and maintain all vendor agreements to ensure all agreements are active
- Support all growth activities requiring Contract Management support, such as reviewing and completing NDAs and TAs
- Maintain all DecisionPoint registrations to ensure all information is accurate and current registration
- Initiate and submit modifications to all DecisionPoint contract vehicles
- Act as the main point of contact for all Contract activities related to any internal and external audits
- Setup, maintain, and manage all contratual activities for DecisionPoint's Joint Ventures
- Other Contract Management duties assigned
Qualifications
- Must have extensive experience with implementing of contract management systems
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of operations and infrastructure professionals
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization
- Must be able to create document workflows and set up process automations congruent with other business units
- Requires a BA degree and 8 + years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 + years of prior relevant experience
- General experience in Contract Administration may be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience with Government (FAR / DFAR) contracting: Fixed Price (FP), Time & Material (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Level of Effort (LOE), Indefinite
- Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) and General Service Administration (GSA) type contracts
- Must have the ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time
- The Candidate must be proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- The Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to include well developed analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to identify and mitigate contract risks as well as coordinate appropriate reviews in accordance with policy and procedures
