Posting Summary |
Rutgers University-Camden is seeking an Assistant Director for the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (
CCIB). The Assistant Director will provide key administrative functions to support the
CCIB ongoing academic programs, grant and research profile and center activities. The incumbent supports the Center Director, oversees the financial administration of
CCIB including preparing grant submissions, tracking awards and budget record keeping, program operations and reporting. The Assistant Director oversees student workers, and graduate assistants within the center as assigned. The Assistant Director oversees the marketing and communication activities of
CCIB, and serves as a liaison for
CCIB to the Rutgers University, local community, and external stakeholders. |

Preferred Qualifications |
Bachelors degree in science-based academic program, ability to work across established scientific disciplines, and experience with grant application and management process is required. Has excellent communication, management, organizational, and interpersonal skills; sensitivity to the needs and goals of a variety of stakeholders; and the ability to work with different groups and individuals within and outside of the university. Prior experience in grants management within a scientific field is required. Prior exposure to business development or technology transfer in biotech/pharmaceutical industry or academia is a plus. Prior exposure to fundraising, support of a scientific community, or communications on behalf of an organization is also a plus.
Masters degree in chemistry, biology, physics or computer science. |
