Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only) Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City Healthcare options are available for staff members 401k plan with company match PURPOSE OF POSITION: The General Store Specialist is responsible for selling and maintaining inventory of merchandise, food, drinks, beer, and other liquor products. RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit card, and gift card transactions Restock shelves with inventory Answer guest inquiries with regards to products sold in the store Operate the espresso machine Maintain cleanliness of the store (shelves, coolers, freezers, and countertops) Monitor inventory and order additional items as needed Monitor supplies (cups, lids, coffee, sugar, etc.) Prepare lobby water service Balance cash, credit cards, DV Gift Card System, and room charges at the end of the day Order newspapers for guests requesting special papers Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years old Knowledge of POS system preferred Knowledge of Deer Valley, Park City, and surrounding areas preferred Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions Able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
