Principal Human Intelligence Specialist ( HUMINT) - Ft. Irwin CA

Overview:

This position is full time for the National Training Center Training Support Contract (NTCTSC) at the National Training Center (NTC). NTCTSC brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the world's best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training support. The NTCTSC is located at Fort Irwin, CA in the Mojave Desert approximately forty miles northeast of Barstow, CA. NTCTSC operations support the NTC mission to provide realistic joint and combined arms training and is focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battle Field.

Job Description:

*The HUMINT position replicates G2X actions within a Division Headquarters and/or s2X actions within the Brigade Headquarters.

*HUMINT Collectors can operate as part of the Army modular component to a Joint Task Force organization and conducts operations in a joint/combined operations environment.

*The HUMINT collector seeks to identify adversarial elements, intentions, compositions, strength, dispositions, tactics, equipment, personnel, and capabilities using military source operations, interrogations, screenings, debriefings, and assist in the translation, and exploitation of documents and media.

*Provides Operations Group Observer Controller Trainers and Rotational Unit soldiers at all levels advice, training, instruction on interrogation, debriefing, and Human Source Contact Operations (HSCO).

Required Skills:



  • Create LVC products for adjacent BDE operations, Division and JTF HUMINT operations.
  • Assist the NTC Operations Group in the design, development, writing of the roles, and role play of Professional Civilians on the Battlefield (PROCOB) and Role Player personnel used during training events at the NTC
  • Assist the NTC Operations Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO), support staff, and the RTU in the development of scenarios.
  • Provide training for NTC Operations support staff and other SME's on developing scenarios and scripts for HUMINT Collection
  • Participate in RTU intelligence briefing prior to and during RTU training.
  • Support the RTU BDE CDR's ability to find, fix and destroy the Opposing Force OPFOR during NTC training rotations
  • Request, collects, analyzes, produces, and distributes intelligence-derived analytical products, and time-sensitive enemy combat information for Brigade Combat Team (BCT) in a scenario driven training environment.
  • Enables and facilitates Rotational Training Unit's HUMINT platforms' ability to capture Measures of Performance (MoP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MoE) IOT better enable follow-on home-station training development, sustainment (ie: battle drills, annexes, appendices, etc.)
  • Provides role player training and development, working with various contractor Program Managers (PM) IOT ensure quality assessment and quality control (HUMINT role playing in line with LSCO) to the RTU
  • Provides analysis and feedback through observation in real time and from stored exercise data on the events that occur during simulated combat operations; operates computer systems to create, consolidate, edit, print, and present products.
  • Executes developed procedures for the collection, analysis, and display of rotational training data at the National Training Center (NTC).
  • Collect data, prepare and submit administrative reports as required in a timely manner.
  • Provide customer service, assistance, and advice in a proficient and professional manner.
  • Adheres to safety standards, policies, and practices.
  • Adheres to Company and Site Policies, practices and procedures appropriately using authority to conduct or recommend employee disciplinary actions accordingly.
  • Performs other assigned duties as directed to maintain positive customer relations/communications and meet customer requirements.



Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Specific Knowledge:

Preference shall be given to experience in a U.S. Army Battalion/Brigade/Division Intelligence Staff, experience working on large/complex DoD Government Contract, and recent OEF/OIF experience. Prior experience utilizing Category II (CAT II) interpreters while conducting HUMINT operations as a 35M or 351M in a deployed environment.

Certifications/Licenses:

Must possess a valid California Driver's License and maintain post driving privileges. Off-road travel in company vehicles and/or military tactical vehicles may be required. Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) to utilize government operating systems. Must have a Secret Clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be able to obtain Military licenses & Night Vision certification if required.

Communication skills:

Applicant must demonstrate a solid command (both written and oral) of the English language. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with client representatives on a regular basis. Must be able to listen with comprehension.

Working Conditions:



  • Office environment; occasionally required to work outdoors in a desert environment.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, desert pollen, extreme heat and cold associated with desert and natural conditions existing on Fort Irwin.
  • Applicants must be willing to work any shift to include weekends, overtime and holidays.
  • Travel may be required (CONUS/OCONUS) and could potentially be the entire period of performance.



Equipment/Tools used:

Common office equipment: Computer, fax machine, copier, multi-line telephone, motor vehicle and the Radio Communication System (RCS).

  • The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.

    • USD $ 70,000 to $123,000
