The incumbent will be required to handle receiving and shipping operations to include disposition of all parts orders. This position requires normal supervision by the T-1A COMBS Manager/Forman, and will occasionally require use of independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Receive parts and report obvious discrepancies in paperwork or part construction to the T-1A COMBS Foreman/Leadman.
  • Place parts in proper bin location according to number sequence and description.
  • Maintain bin location updates, and assist with inventories as required.
  • Pulling and matching picking lists with parts to complete orders; double checking part numbers and descriptions to ensure accuracy.
  • Issue parts and complete documentation.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Lift light to medium-weight material.
  • Operating forklift, motor LPG/electric vehicle, and other loading/unloading devices.
  • Execute clerical duties associated with parts processing.
  • Assist in packing and crating materials for commercial shipments.
  • Other assigned duties as required.


INCUMBENT PERFORMS OTHER JOB-RELATED TASKS AS ASSIGNED AND REQUIRED; ANY DUTIES/TASKS INCLUDED IN THE EMPLOYEE'S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION ELEMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO THAT EMPLOYEE'S POSITION WITHIN THE JOB CLASSIFICATION.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of two (2) years experience in general warehouse operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

The following skills and abilities are required:



  • At least two years of supply/warehouse/shipping and receiving experience.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle light to medium-weight material.
  • Working knowledge and ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment: forklift, pallet jack, and loading/unloading devices.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Analytical abilities to read interpret and comply with written and/or oral instruction and regulations.
  • Knowledge of packaging and crating procedures for commercial shipments.
