JOB SUMMARY
Performs general shop and yard maintenance duties including cleaning trucks, equipment and maintaining work area and truck yard.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Possess Class B CDL preferred not required. Experience working in a yard hostler position preferred.


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Must be able to drive manual transmission.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.


JOB RESPNSIBLITIES


  • Use personal protective gear to ensure the safe performance of essential job functions (safety glasses, gloves, seat belts, ear plugs, etc).
  • Clean and organize workbenches, shop floors, and restrooms to maintain a safe working environment within the service area.
  • Clean service shop floors by sweeping, mopping, and/or scrubbing.
  • Gather and empty trash in service areas and equipment/vehicle storage lots.
  • Supply restrooms, breakrooms within the Service area.
  • Move heavy equipment, parts, or supplies, either manually or with equipment.
  • Park and organize equipment and vehicles in storage lots.
  • Maintain inventory list of equipment and vehicles onsite.
  • Maintain clean and organized wash bay facility.
  • Wash and clean company vehicles as necessary.
  • Decommission vehicles and equipment for sale.
  • Ensures product or equipment is inspected and free of damage or contamination.
  • Drive company vehicles on and off parking lot.
  • Positions machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects, for assembly or installation.
  • Notify managers of safety concerns in service areas.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
