The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Solutions Architect to support our Digital Experience and Transformation team.

Be a part of QuidelOrtho's exciting digital transformation journey! The digital experience lead will be a member of a Digital Experience CoE team responsible for implementing customer experiences powered by Adobe's Experience Manager, Salesforce, Elastic, Okta CIC and other web & mobile platforms. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of leadership, analytical and technical skills and will design best practice solutions in close collaboration with our business partners. Ideal candidate will be an experienced full stack java developer whose responsibilities include - requirements gathering, designing technical solutions, coordinating and being a part of build activities, support integration and user acceptance testing; provide go live and post deployment support.

This position will be working in a hybrid schedule - Candidate can be based in San Diego, CA, Raritan, NJ (2-3 days onsite) or remote eligible.

The Responsibilities

  • Self-starter, ability to learn new technologies and platforms, independently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to independently gather business requirements, design technical solution and implement solution, either alone or by coordinating with other IT resources.
  • Develops, recommends, and applies new concepts, techniques, systems, and technologies within assigned area of expertise.
  • Consistently demonstrates initiative to acquire and utilize new technical skills within job function.
  • Delivers technical solutions that meet Business Requirements, IT technical standards and is sustainable in the planned productive environment.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently with strong initiative.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of full-stack development experience across diverse platforms and technologies, including web and mobile development.
  • Expert in Front-end Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Back-end Development Expertise: Extensive experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Experience with OKTA CIC (Auth0) for user authentication, SSO, and MFA integration, and/or experience with SAP CDC (Gigya).
  • API Development: Strong experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL for both mobile and web applications.
  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for smooth application deployment and scaling
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture for building distributed applications
  • This position will require around 5% travel domestically.
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. QuidelOrtho does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Elastic Stack, Logstash and Kibana for search, analytics and data visualization.
  • AI/ML Integration: Familiarity with AI technologies

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Physical Demands

This position will require traditional demands of that related to an office environment, which includes but not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
