The Associate Quality Control Analyst performs testing on finished product, in-process samples, stability samples, and raw materials in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Documentation and Laboratory Practices.

Core Responsibilities
  • Enhances cGMP compliance and assists in preparation of standard operating procedures.

  • Collect samples from production for analysis.

  • Perform wet chemistry analysis following written Standard Operating Procedures including but not limited to pH, solubility, color, absorbance, loss on drying, nitrogen, residue on Ignition, calcium, chloride, protein impurities, and flame test.

  • Prepare solutions and standard for laboratory analysis.

  • Perform real time documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.

  • Maintain the laboratory, equipment, glassware for a clean and safe environment.

  • Provide management with supply orders such as reagents, standards, glassware, and other miscellaneous supplies to avoid low inventory.

  • Inform management of any testing with suitability or out of specifications results immediately.

  • Collect samples/supplies between departments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Agriculture or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by end of current school year as qualified.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.

  • Quality and/or lab experience is preferred.

  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to use analytical balance and pipette.

  • Ability to accurately record and interpret data testing results in real time.

  • The use of time management and prioritization skills effectively.

  • Must have strong organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrate effective time management.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively within team and with members of other departments.

  • Understand science-based principles, formulas, and specifications.

  • Mathematical skill (calculate ratios, fractions, percentages, conversions, decimals, etc.)

  • Troubleshooting: Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Must have the ability to complete required applicable forms in English, which requires the ability to read and write in English.

  • Ability to follow Written Standard Operational Procedures.

  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
