Position Summary
Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President for Admissions & Enrollment Services is responsible for all aspects of undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and enrollment, including the strategic awarding of financial aid.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Vice President is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-year enrollment plan and for identifying and meeting annual enrollment and net tuition goals. In addition, the Vice President is responsible for designing and interpreting appropriate metrics and measurable outcomes. By providing leadership and strategic direction to the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Degree Completion & Graduate Admissions, Transfer Admissions, Enrollment Support Services, and Financial Aid, the Vice President is responsible for implementing and directing best practices and strategies that meet enrollment goals, reflect institutional values, and ensure a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Enrollment Services division. The Vice President for Admissions & Enrollment Services collaborates closely with colleagues across the institution to determine pricing strategies and the effective use of institutional financial aid; with the marketing and communications department on the creation and implementation of an effective and strategic communications plan; with the offices of Institutional Diversity and student affairs to support the success of all students; and with the Director of Athletics on athlete recruitment.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's preferred and a minimum of ten years of progressive experience and leadership in enrollment management is required. The Vice President must be a highly efficient, effective, results-oriented, and challenge-driven individual with strong business acumen, proven ability to lead and knowledge of best practices and current trends in the enrollment field. Data informed decision making, and demonstrated success in an enrollment management role at an institution that is tuition driven is expected.
The successful candidate will be a visionary and a strategic thinker. The position requires strong cognitive skills and the ability to analyze issues critically. The ideal candidate also will demonstrate excellent communication skills, effective leadership and team building skills, experience with target marketing and market segmentation and data collection analysis, and experience in the development and implementation of long-range enrollment plans. Experience in managing student information systems, budget oversight, experience with financial aid and leveraging, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external constituents will be important factors in the selection of the new vice president for enrollment services. The successful candidate must also believe in and persuasively articulate the mission and value of University of St. Francis.
Preferred Requirements
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule
Full-time exempt position, it is expected that work will performed to completion. Minimum of 40 hours per week, days, Monday through Friday; evening and/or weekend hours as needed.
Physical Requirements of Position
Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity
