Position: HR Specialist

Company: Pacific Manufacturing Tennessee

Location: Jackson, TN

Reports to: HR Manager

Status: Exempt

Primary Responsibility: To support the HR Department; to support the employees; to support other departments as needed.

Essential Functions: (includes but not limited)

  • Coordinates all staffing agency (temps) activities including time and attendance for payroll submission, missed punches for time and attendance, terminations, orientations, new temps data entry, and other miscellaneous communication.
  • Enters new temps into the Paycor system
  • Coordinates setting up interviews for full-time candidates with the appropriate Pacific Manufacturing department leadership.
  • Creation and administration of offer letter, background application, and drug screen process.
  • Completion and mailing of separation notices to termed full-time employees.
  • Enters new hires (PMT) into the Paycor system
  • Achieves good working knowledge of the Paycor system to do back-up functions in HR
  • Assists employees with questions, issues, etc
  • Back-up as a badge maker
  • Assists in employment enrichment activities
  • Any duties as needed



Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources preferably in manufacturing recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, time and attendance
  • High level of professionalism
  • Excellent people skills
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent attendance



Physical Requirements


  • Ability to work in an office environment with frequent interruptions and noise, 8 hours minimum of staring at computer, sitting at desk
  • Ability to stand in front of new temps for orientation
  • Ability to speak in front of new hires and leadership
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts as needed
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist as needed for up to 12 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs if needed
