Pay



  • Starting at $22.00/hour

Shifts



  • Orientation Week: provided prior to start date
  • Schedule: 2-2-2 schedule
  • 12-hour shifts

    • Day Shift: 5:45AM to 6:00PM

Job Summary

The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift and other PIT to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the plant, while ensuring accurate inventory records of all moves in compliance with FEFO.

Responsibilities



  • Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products throughout the plant.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items and works with other team members to ensure team moves materials in FEFO order, onto and off trucks, ready for shipments, loads and unloads docks and moves product into staging areas.
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
  • Keep accurate inventory records and update the computer system with all material movement.
  • Properly tagging of all finished goods as they are produced and moving to the Warehouse staging areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate material movement and ensure production timelines are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the forklift and storage areas.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by plant management.



Requirements



  • Previous experience with AS400, SAP, and Visitrak
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a industrial powered trucks, primarily sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to forklift operations.
  • Willing to learn new systems and work with the team on continuous improvement ideas
