Description & Requirements Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking an Associate or Patent Agent to join the Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group on the Electrical Engineering & Software Team in any office. Candidates must have IP experience with drafting and patent prosecution and a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar. Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus. Preference for candidates with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless network, or the like.
Associate and Patent Agent candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have 2-6 years of legal experience. Associate candidates must be licensed to practice law or have the ability to become licensed as soon as possible in the state in which they will work. Bar licensure in California is a plus. Candidates must have outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and strong organizational and analytical abilities.

The national average salary range for this Associate role is $205,000-$305,000. The national average salary range for this Patent Agent role is $99,600-$145,800. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications and experience.
