Title: Data Center Technician Duration: 5 months (possible extension) Location: 1905 Lunt, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, Onsite Working Hours: M-F 3pm -12am Job Description: Resource's typical working day: They will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data center The Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cabling They will also need to know how to terminate copper They will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs work Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred Work on ladders 7-8 feet off the floor Install servers that can weight up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams) They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client Very fast pace and busy data center environment Years of Experience needed: 2 years working in a data center (If they have been leading a team for several years, they would not be a fit as they need someone with boots on the ground) Level of Education: H.S Diploma Systems/Software proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams) Certifications/Licenses: n/a Top Must have Skills: Teachability and positive attitude is a HIGHLY valued skill Able to work as a team Adapt Attention to Detail Top Nice to have Skills: Outside accreditations Customer service experience Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred Looking for some tenure with experience Interview Process: 1 round, virtual, 2nd round if needed
