Weston is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to provide subcontractor administration as it relates to proposal planning, project pre-mobilization, project set-up, execution set-up and close-out. They will perform audits on subcontractor administration functions and supervises and mentor junior Construction Project Coordinators.

Expected Outcomes
  • Assist in preparation of subcontractor Requests For Proposal
  • Assist in identifying subcontractors and vendors
  • Assist Project Managers in subcontractor buy-down efforts
  • Assist in preparation of pre-construction and close-out submittal documents (e.g., Construction Quality Plan, Site Specific Health & Safety Plan, As-Builts, O&M Manuals)
  • Assist in preparation of construction submittal documents (e.g., daily reports, monthly reports, materials submittals and permitting)
  • Assist in coordinating project site preparation services.
  • Assist in development of submittals registers.
  • Develop Project Welcome Books
  • Monitor timeliness of submittal receipt and approval, review submittals for accuracy and completeness, and notify Project Manager of issues.
  • Obtain and process certified payroll documentation.
  • Obtain and reconcile daily manpower reports.
  • Issue certified payrolls through Project Managers to contracting officers
  • Develop insurance tracking sheets, monitor subcontractor certificates of insurance.
  • Develop and maintain Request For Information Logs.
  • Assist in development of close-out checklists.
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices, to include obtaining partial release of lien for each.
  • Establish and maintain subcontractor / vendor log of account balances.
  • Coordinate subcontractor submittal and requests for information.
  • Coordinate subcontractor change orders.
  • Maintain change order logs.
  • Maintain visitor logs.
  • Update purchase requests for change orders or new subcontracts / purchase orders.
  • Prepare/process project close-out documentation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent plus minimum of 5 to 8 four years of related experience.
  • Must have knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations as they pertain to subcontractor oversight
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Must be highly organized
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out some work independently.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $66,400 - $88,600 - $110,700
