Position Overview :
As a Financial Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring Weston's operations meets all government accounting requirements. Your contributions will directly impact the success of key projects and corporate initiatives while giving you opportunities to develop your expertise in auditing, government cost accounting, compliance, and government regulations. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a desire to play a role in developing efficient financial and compliance procedures and providing support to program and corporate objectives.
Expected Outcomes:
  • Develops knowledge to provide support for government accounting audits, federal wage laws, and other government cost accounting compliance subject areas, such as indirect rates.
  • Provides liaison support for external audit requests from federal, state, and local agencies (DCAA/DCMA/EPA).
  • Develops necessary skills to analyze and reconcile certified payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance relating to prevailing wage payments and classifications.
  • Interacts with other corporate departments, contract administrators, business managers, and external clients and vendors.
  • Assists in the preparation of required government financial reports, such as incurred cost submissions.
What You Bring :
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-eligible is a plus).
  • 0-3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or compliance (internship experience or coursework in relevant areas is acceptable).
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen ability to analyze and reconcile data accurately.
  • Ability to learn quickly: You'll be trained on government cost accounting rules, federal wage regulations, and auditing processes.
  • Solid communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing with internal teams and external auditors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills (experience with data analysis, spreadsheets, and financial reporting is a plus).

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $40,400 - $53,900 - $67,300
