ARES is seeking candidates to support the NASA Technology Transfer Program. Technology Transfer seeks to support NASA's mission by identifying and protecting NASA's intellectual property with commercial potential and transferring those technologies to entrepreneurs, companies, universities, non-profits, business incubators and innovation ecosystems, and state and local governments to create jobs, promote economic development, create technological advantages for American companies, and improve life here on Earth.

A Technology Commercialization Manager provides strategic thinking, has excellent problem-solving skills, and collaborates across functional domains to execute on marketing strategy, drive innovation, and business results. They develop and implement strategic marketing efforts and new technology rollouts to improve a business. They research and recommend new marketing technology products, and operate and use marketing technology products as an administrator. They also oversee marketing intelligence and provide actionable insight to clients or internal stakeholders.

A Technology Commercialization Manager works to commercialize business opportunities developed by the Sales & Marketing Department through project management and product launch processes for new products or rollouts of major releases. They manage day-to-day operational aspects of commercialized projects, processes, and product plans and scopes by ensuring changes in market and business priorities, including integration needs and technology advancements, are reflected. They develop and present product plans, giving a clear vision of how goals and objectives will be achieved, and identify risks, challenges, opportunities, growth strategies, and business integration needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
  • 0-3 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting technology transfer requirements for a federal agency.
  • Demonstrated breadth of technology experience across a variety of disciplines.

This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days on-site at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL, and allowing for 2 days of remote work per week.
