Ares is seeking an Automation Solutions Product Owner for the NASA Applications and Platform Services (APS) Service Line in support of the Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is an enterprise-level contract providing IT management, multimedia, and communication services for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • Serve as the Product Owner on the automation solutions development team within the Platform and Web Experience Agile Release Train (ART) throughout all stages of the product life cycle; Introduction, Growth, Maturity, and Decline.
  • Work closely with business owners, customers, stakeholders, system architects, product management team, and others ensuring business value, and aligning outcomes.
  • Identify problems to be solved, guide story creation ensuring they are aligned with product strategy, assist with ART backlog prioritization, communicate the roadmap during PI Planning, and accept stories.
  • Continually evaluate progress toward story acceptance criteria and value delivered from the backlog. Participate in iteration planning, backlog refinement, iteration reviews, team retrospectives, and team sync meeting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified SaFe PractionerCertified
  • SaFe Product Owner/Product Manager
  • 3- 5 years of experience in the Product Owner support role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enterprise Architecture Certification
  • Experience with The Open Group's ArchiMate Framework
  • Experience with ArchiMate Modeling Tool
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, One Note, One Drive, Sharepoint, and Box
  • Previous Experience with NASA
  • Experience using GitHub

Education and Relevant Work Experience:

  • Experience using Microsoft Power Apps for low code custom business applications
  • Provide outstanding communication to Product Management, customers, stakeholders, and all other members of the ART
  • Extremely organized with excellent time management skills
  • Highly motivated and able to shift gears rapidly and frequently as needed or as dictated by the customer
  • Must be process oriented and able to adhere procedural guidance
  • Must have initiative and ability to drive projects to success and prioritize multiple high- visibility tasks.
  • Able to tailor technical communications, both verbally and written to audiences possessing a varying degree of IT experience and knowledge.
  • Must work well independently with various stakeholders from other NASA Program Stakeholders.
  • Must work well both independently and with various stakeholders from other NASA Programs/Organizations
