Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of Nursing and staff within the Inpatient Behavioral Health units 24/7 operations across both campuses. Ensures the standards for nursing services are aligned with UH nursing practices and that all aspects of nursing care comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Provides leadership direction to inpatient clinical departments and program managers, and ensures effective and efficient operation of inpatient services. Serves as the administrative leader of integrated care in the medical hospital setting. Supports direct care staff delivering mental health and mental wellness services in hospital and clinic-based medical settings.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSN
  • Maintain current Missouri license as a professional nurse (RN).

  • Seven years RN experience.

  • Five years progressive leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with change management and project management responsibilities

  • Ability to analyze information, formulate and implement effective plans for using information.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Certification in specialty.
