YOUR DAY TO DAY:

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing process of our Feeds to ensure efficient production, quality control, and on-time delivery. This position will assist in managing the cost, performance, delivery, and quality of the product line. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and experience in managing production operations in line with organizational goals.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:



  • Product Line Management: Leads the manufacturing of a product line to meet Division objectives, ensuring smooth operations and cost-effectiveness.
  • Process Optimization: Develops and implements strategies to streamline manufacturing processes, maximizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Workflow and Production Schedules: Assists management in monitoring production schedules, adjusting workflows as needed to meet deadlines and customer demands.
  • Resource Planning: Assists management in establishing and meeting short- and long-term manufacturing requirements for space, facilities, equipment, and manpower.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Assumes responsibility for equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and safety, ensuring compliance with EH&S standards and assists with formal training of employees.
  • Team Leadership: Leads personnel. Assists managers in ensuring compliance with the company's Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Assists managers in resolving production issues and ensures actions are reported.


YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:



  • Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with ERP systems, production automation, project tracking tools, and budget management software.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Anticipates challenges and devises effective, innovative solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of product development, lifecycle management, and market trends.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills, including motivation, communication, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent ability to solve complex issues and manage day-to-day challenges in production.


Education and Experience:



  • Degree: High School diploma plus 5 years of relevant experience. Associate degree or certification in electrical engineering or relative preferred.
  • Training: Management training preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word.
