Applications Engineering Intern

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern for our Irvine, CA location.

The Applications Engineering Intern provides engineering services through the application of Hexagon products. Services include Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming, inspection, training, and product demonstrations.

  Learn Hexagon proprietary CMM programming software through training classes and self-guided material.

  
  

• 
  

  Create and/or execute CMM programs for manufactured parts with simple to highly complex geometries.

  
  

• 
  

  Prepare and conduct training classes to customers in machine operations and programming.

  
  

• 
  

  Provide technical support to our customers, both on-site and by phone.

  
  

• 
  

  Learn to take a challenging issue from problem statement through resolution and follow up

  
  

• 
  

  Must be enrolled in aMechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering undergraduate or other technical degree programand in good academic standing

  
  

• 
  

  Must be comfortable speaking in front of small groups

  
  

• 
  

  Proficiency in programming preferred

  
  

• 
  

  Ability to work Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week during the summer break
