Our team is a passionate group of sports enthusiasts eager to grow our content offering on all platforms and in all mediums. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing the social strategy and digital content plans that define the online identity of your assigned shows, and you will act as the megaphone to amplify awareness and grow excitement for our programming. If you are passionate about sports and have a knack for both content creation and community management, this role is for you. To succeed in this role, you must be well-versed in the language of the internet, hyperaware of social trends, and possess the ability to bring a creative vision to life.

RESPONSIBLITIES:



  • Develop and Execute Digital Content Plans: Create and implement strategic, multi-platform content plans tailored to the unique audience and subject matter of each show that go beyond clips and scene lifts and put us at the center online conversations to promote our podcasts.
  • Coordinate and Publish Content Across All Handles: Create and distribute content across all title social media handles, ensuring that posts are timely, relevant, and on-brand and copy is written in a voice familiar to our fans, and also collaborate with Sinclair's vast network of local stations for additional support.
  • Be the Voice of Each Show: Serve as the primary voice online for all assigned podcasts, adapting your communication style to reflect the personality of each show while staying consistent with brand messaging.
  • Amplify Reach through Community Management: Drive core community management initiatives to foster meaningful audience engagement. Respond to comments, moderate discussions, and encourage conversations among listeners to deepen their connection with the podcasts.
  • Audience Engagement Strategies: Build and implement innovative engagement strategies to grow our follower base, increase engagement rates, and extend the podcasts' reach through partnerships, collaborations, and viral moments.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports on social media performance metrics, providing insights into reach, engagement, growth, and audience behavior.
  • Data-Driven Campaign Evolution: Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Use insights to evolve and optimize future promotional campaigns, ensuring our content remains fresh and effective.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and audience-building strategies.
  • Experience shooting and editing original social content, with examples to share.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable steps.
  • A passion for sports and an understanding of the sports media landscape.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
