SRG Global is looking for a Director of Tax to join our team in Troy, MI!

You will join a principled based team that continuously challenges the status quo. Collaborating with multiple functions within operations, development, and transformative capabilities to create mutual benefit.

What You Will Do

* Tax Strategy: Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business goals and optimize tax efficiency

* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including timely filing of returns

* Tax Planning: Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and enhance cash flow

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment

* Audit Management: Coordinate and manage tax audits, providing necessary documentation and representing the organization with tax authorities

* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring policies and procedures are in place

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with finance, legal, and other departments to support business initiatives and provide tax insights

* Tax Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements

* Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization

* Capability Development: Recruit and develop the tax capability for an independent organization

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

* Demonstrated seniority in tax, with substantial experience in a leadership role

* Deep understanding of tax laws and regulations

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent leadership and communication skills

* Global tax compliance experience

What Will Put You Ahead

* Experience in the automotive industry or manufacturing sector

* Proven ability to develop and implement effective tax strategies

* Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
