Description

The Manager of Child Occupant Protection will manage Safe Kids Worldwide (SKW) Child Passenger Safety- (CPS) related programs and serve as the coalition liaison for program and grant management. Serves as the primary contact for stakeholders such as coalition coordinators, lead agencies, and other relevant entities. Provides field management for inspection stations and oversight for CPS-related projects in the Program Management Tool. Provides review and feedback of Certification forms, processes and procedures. Fulfills requests from the CPS field for Certification related data and technical content questions. Creates and Reviews Certification content including CEUs, presentations, website content for technicians, instructors and stakeholders. Contributes to certification reports and distribute reports to relevant stakeholders. Recertification reports, Quarterly, yearly and final reports. Represent Safe Kids Certification and CPS programs at national conferences including participation in planning, booth and team organization and content contributions.

Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
5 years 5 years of related of work experience in public health, injury prevention or program implementation fields required, with progressively responsible program management experience. Demonstrated ability to manage a program. Ability to effectively communicate at multiple management and staff levels. Demonstrated team leadership. Progressive child passenger safety experience required. Successful experience working with staff, affiliates and volunteers to ensure an integrated, organized effort, as well as goal-oriented accomplishments. (Required)

Manage Child Passenger Safety (CPS) -Related Program Activities
  • Develop systems, reports and other tools to strengthen coalitions activity with Child Passenger Safety (CPS) -related programs.
  • Manage coalition CPS activity nationally. Ensure grant compliance.
  • Work across all Departments to assess and evaluate current CPS efforts.
  • Manage national events and target specific activity required by sponsor.
  • Promote quality, consistency and growth among coalitions.
Manage Special Initiatives
  • Oversee coalition special events and initiatives.
  • Oversee partner and sponsor special activities, initiatives and events, as needed.
  • Oversee exhibit opportunities.
  • Serve as a CPS Advocate on behalf of coalitions and the external network.
Strategic Partnerships
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships at the local and national level.
  • Support development and negotiation of program proposals.
  • Manage program contracts, timelines, budgets and deliverables.
Certification Program Support
  • Facilitate listening sessions and recommend program improvements for Certification.
  • Manage timeline and deliverables of Certification and CPS projects.
  • Organize participation in national, local and regional CPS/Certification conferences and events.
  • Create and review CPS/Certification content.
  • Review and update CEU content.
  • Review and make recommendations for resource and policy and procedures updates.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategies that address barriers to reaching groups that have been underserved and marginalized.
  • Provide CPS/Certification data to relevant state, regional and local entities monthly and as requested.
  • Review and contribute to internal and external newsletters on a regular basis.
  • Manage the review of CPS/Cert website content and update as needed.
