The Role
The Wholesale Partner Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals with partners in a designated territory. The assigned territory for this role covers multiple partners from the mid-west to Texas (up to 9 partner relationships). You will serve as a trusted resource and primary point of contact for partners, proactively influencing marketing activities and addressing operational issues to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. You will build and sustain collaborative relationships with partner showrooms and internal service teams to drive business growth, deliver an exceptional client experience, and effectively balance wholesale demands with our other distribution channels.
We are open to candidates outside of the listed locations who are in the central US; all candidates must be located near a major airport hub.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage relationships with assigned wholesale partners.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to define sales and marketing strategies; hold partner teams accountable for meeting monthly sales quotas.
  • Conduct needs assessments, identify sales opportunities, and provide ongoing support to partner sales teams and showrooms to improve product knowledge and sales confidence.
  • Ensure contract compliance and manage business unit to achieve ROI and stay within budget.
  • Partner with internal cross functional teams to develop tools and resources to support wholesale partners.
  • Review and adjust client marketing strategies and revenue targets on a monthly basis.
  • Track weekly reports, monitor field activities, and manage appointment schedules across assigned partners.
  • Oversee project pipeline, ensuring compliance with client management guidelines.
  • Communicate business strategies and provide accurate forecasting by showroom.
  • Strengthen partnerships to position Waterworks as the preferred vendor; develop strategies for preferred vendor status as needed.
  • Share leads and address cross-channel business issues following client management protocols.
  • Serve as escalation point for client issues unresolved by partner sales teams, coordinating with internal teams to resolve with urgency.
  • Respond promptly to internal/external communications and model company values in all partnerships.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a showroom, retail, or architectural design firm, including 2+ years in sales management within a luxury brand.
  • Strong industry connections within the luxury design trade.
  • Self-motivated leader with excellent coaching, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, close deals, and influence at all levels.
  • Strong multitasking and strategic-thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrates trust, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel 60% or more to partner locations.
  • Experience in plumbing, tile, or construction is a plus.

Waterworks may require physical requirements within its Showroom locations as follows:
Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, stock room and office. Position could entail periods of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing. Licensed to drive preferred. Ability to travel locally or out of state.
